More Rugby this weekend

Diarmuid had two rugby match's back to back last Saturday morning.

First off he was playing for his school in Pre-Cup friendly against High School from Dublin:

He played about 50 minutes (out of 60) - then examined his hand for the remainder :)

OK - somebody stamped on it... I think he's just admiring his nails though. Sligo Grammar School won the game handy enough in the end - 22-6 (or something close to that - I had to leave before the end).

The second game was for the club, and was against Ballinrobe. Diarmuid's club team are having it a little easy this season (which isn't a good thing as it looks like they won't be facing any good teams until the finals) so they started off without most of the boys who played for the Grammar.

(that's Diarmuid wearing no17 - I'm not sure what he's doing but it looks complicated!)

You could hear his mother shouting from the sideline when he grabbed this wee boy - DIARMY, DON'T HURT HIM! - Classic Mammy stuff - though usually I think they roar that at everybody else, not the other way around.

Diarmuid got stuck in for the last ten minutes - literally. Scored 3 tries for his troubles. Disappointing game - the final result was 84-0 to Sligo.

Other people's Children

SadieMay looking... well, curious, and cute in blue.

Shelly with SadieMay - with mum to be Sharon in the background. I like the symmetry in this shot - and the fact that they aren't looking at me. STOP LOOKING AT ME!

Dave with his two little warriors, Conor and James. Dinner time looks like fun with those boys.

Well done John!

Triona's brother John made his professional TV debut lastnight in MarĂº on TG4. Needless to say we were all glued to the box as John set to general menacing and threatening of potential land grabbers. Then he had the cheek to call the cops! Great stuff. Well done. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of John on the big screen soon.

What is it with all of the O'Dowd's and their desire to act? Thoughts, etc. via the comments please :)
