I received my Licentiate distinction from the Irish Photographic Federation recently. I submitted a panel of ten images for consideration by 9 judges and thankfully I received a unanimous decision. It's a pretty horrid process. Your images are put up on display in front of a large room full of people - the judges then go have a look at them and in a matter of just a few short moments they make a decision - that decision is made public immediately. Heart pounding stuff. Anyhow - now I get to use the letters LIPF after my name if I so wish. The panel of images I used was all rugby images - many of them appearing on my photoblog.
