Hurrah!

Diarmuid has been doing trials over the last few months to get a coveted position on the Connacht U15 Elite Training Programme - well he received word this week that he's in! (Connacht Rugby is the professional rugby setup in our area for those that don't know)

This is the first step on a long road to becoming a player at the very highest level - but it's a start that only a handful of boys get every year and represents a fantastic opportunity for him to develop his game.

The good news letter also came with a physical conditioning programme - this knocked the smile off his face pretty sharpish :) plenty of tough work ahead over the coming weeks!

Well done son - we're all very proud of you.

Bath Time

Mam! more water now!

Reading Time

Our little Nara isn't wasting any time getting down to business with the books. She has obviously been inspired by Diarmuid's devotion to the books in preparation for his end of year tests (not!) :)

I can sleep anywhere...

Visitors

Nara has been busy this past few days receiving visitors - here are a few photos of some of those I remembered to take photos of:

Big Brother

Big brother Diarmuid has this whole babysitting thing licked! (or else he's just hopelessly addicted to Instant Messaging!)

John and Sean visit

Cousin Sean and uncle John came for a visit yesterday and spent some time with Nara. I see Sean is storing chocolate for later on his lips :)

Nara's first pose

Isn't she cute? and no - she doesn't have enormous ears - that's Triona's hand :) This photo was taken this morning while Nara took a break from her breakfast. Already she's got the eating, sleeping and evacuation processes sorted out - she just has to learn that you sleep at night - not all day long :)

Say hi to our little girl

As many of you may already know our latest addition arrived in the early hours of Tuesday morning (2.25am May 20th 2008). She's called Nara (means Happy/Contented), and once she decided it was time to come she came in quite a hurry (10 days late mind), all 8 pounds 6 ounces of her.

Mum and baby are doing great and I'm getting the house ready for their home coming today. Now I better get back to cleaning floors :)

Diarmy is delighted with the new arrival as well - he's looking forward to having a little sister to mind.

9 Days Over!

Baby is now 9 days overdue. Tri will be induced tomorrow if Baby decides to hang on any longer. We're all very excited.

BBQ at Abbeytown

We all met in Abbeytown yesterday for a bbq. Tri is well over due now so this might be our last outing for a while :)

Sadie May gets to grips with Diarmy

Tim took care of the cooking duties - it's sort of a law or something that any Australians close by have to work the bbq.

How could you say No to that?

Not long to go now!

Ah - somebodies getting ready for bed.

Enoying the weather

We had a lovely lunch al fresco with Denise and co. last Monday (bank holiday). Everything seems so much nicer when the weather's good. Long may it last.

Triona's doing really well - not long now!
